should i go to e.r.? kidney stone i have a kidney stone 2mm in size. i went to the e.r for pain about 2 months ago and they gave me a ct scan and then diagnosed me with kidney infection. i went to a follow up with my dr. and she said i had a kidney stone

A : A 2mm stone will generally pass without the need for intervention but it may also have grown in size over 2 months and now may not pass, or you could have developed new ones. You should see your doctor and get a repeat ct scan to reevaluate the size and location. If you can't get to your doctor, and you are in pain go to the emergency department.

had a ct scan, i have follicles in kidneys. what can happen? i sometimes have dull ache in kidneys and feel like i don't urinate enough. infection?

Renal cyst?: Renal cysts are very common, and "usually" without health consequences, but i would still recommend a discussion with your doctor or a kidney specialist (urologist) to be sure that what you call "follicles" are cysts or something else.

i have just had a ct scan and it showed my right kidney was enlarged i get slot of lower back pain and always have uti infections any idea of treatmen?

Difference in kidney: size is normal, recurrent UTI is not. More common in females than males. But this is obviously why you had the CT? The combination of back &amp; UTI is why it was done. Especially if your UTI are recurrent. Listen to the advice of your urologist,  &amp; follow it as he/she dictates.

i have was just diagnosed with a uti & kidney infection. i also had a ct scan which showed no kidney stones. the urgent care dr. i have been seeing the last 2 days is at a loss on why i am having the sever kidney pain. he assumes its due to me taking narc

UTI w/ pain: Kidney or bladder pain ? Peri renal  infection? Tried a relaxant - pyridium (phenazopyridine)? Is  the bug sensitive to the antibiotic and no other signs of  drug reaction?  if all  normal  could be interstitial cystitis , or hyperalgesia to narcs ( usually you chronic. narcs use)   f/u w/ urologist

im having flank pain on my right back side. hurts when i push on the area. im also having cloudy urine. ive felt ill today, loss of appetite and extremely tired/sleepy. could this be a kidney infection? i recently had a ct contrast dye scan?

Probable CP: Pancreatic divisum is failure of the dorsal  and ventral ducts of the early developing pancreas to fuse into a major duct system.  Blood in urine may be from a possible renal or bladder lesion but unrelated to pancreatic problem.  Pain when no defined kidney stones would have to be related to common association of pancreatic divisum and pancreatitis.

No: No, stones that passed out of the body are gone.  It will show any remaining stones. There may temporarily be some residual signs of the obstruction caused by the stone, however. Also, if an infection has resolved, the CT might temporarily show some residual signs of the infection, but will otherwise be normal unless  the infection resulted in scarring of the kidney.

Confusing question: Sorry, a lot isn't clear. Where was your herpes outbreak? Genital? Typical for past recurrences? Definite herpes as the cause (cluster of blisters or sores)? Or maybe you mean herpes zoster (shingles)? That's a more likely cause of flank or abdominal pain that might be confused with kidney infection or stone. Neither HSV nor zoster would cause a kidney infection, but zoster can cause ongoing pain.

wbc in urine catch w cathiter no stds or infections cysto cultures and ct scan w cont. show nothing no kidney issues what else could be wrong?

Probably nothing: See my previous answer, hopefully urine has been examined microscopically to make sure you do in fact have wbcs in the urine.
