Either One Ok to Use: Tinea Pedis, a fungal skin infection: itchy rash between toes/sides of feet, can infect toenails. Same fungus causes Jock Itch. Terbinafine (anti-fungal) used to treat both. Prevention is key. Cleanse feet/between toes daily in soapy water. air dry 15 min. Avoid sweaty feet, wear absorbent socks, change if damp, shoe inserts &amp; foot powder help. See doctor if not resolved after 2 wks therapy.

Candida: Candida or yeast can certainly create these symptoms and presentation.  You can get a prescription from your doctor. In the meantime, cut out all sugar and yeast from your diet, keep the area clean and dry and you will start to feel better.

Could be yeast: try either miconazole or clotrimazole cream to the area twice daily and follow up with your physician.

Stop self treating: Get examined. You will need to stop any oils which will "lock in" any fungal infection. You will need to be examined,placed on both oral antifungal antibiotic and a cream that contains antifungal and cortisone medications. 8 years is a bit absurd...and you now have a chronic skin condition. Consider a dermatology evaluation.

Bump: Could be but could also be molluscum or herpes. Have it checked by your doctor, urologist or dermatologist.

This : This is unlikely shingles since the rash itself has lasted months. Perhaps it is a fungal infection or folliculitis or eczema or psoriasis?  I would recommend you see a dermatologist and get an accurate diagnosis so you can start good treatment to help your symptoms.  It is quite common to have these conditions in that location. I hope that helps a little.

Dry Skin, Fungus: The most common causes of itchy skin on the soles of your feet are dry skin and athlete's foot which is caused by fungus or yeast.  Even if you do not see or smell anything odd, i'd suggest trying a simple over the counter anti fungal cream applied every day and see if the problem resolves.  If not, see a doctor.  Terbinafine and Clotrimazole are commonly available otc antifungals.
