Unlikely: What do you mean "for allergies"?   I have seen many patients with your problem and usually have not been able to find a cause even after a skin biopsy.  Prednisone should not be used for more than a couple of weeks. May try taking a non-sedating antihistamine every 6 hrs (higher than needed for hay fever) . If still not helpful, see your derm again or consult an allergist.

i was treated for strongyloides with 2 doses of ivermectin + 1 dose of albendazole over a few weeks of time. i understand that these drugs dont kill the eggs though, only the adults, so what do we do then? should i continue treatment?

: Eggs get eliminated in the feces and with no worms in your intestine no new ones would be produced. Unless you have symptoms related to worm infestation, you should let it be.
For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
