: Yes, the surgery by itself not mentioning about taking out one ovary will affect you cycle, either way, early or delayed.

Still have 1 ovary?: If you still have one ovary and uterus intact, your period should be as usual for you, and yes you should still be ovulating unless postmenopausal. One ovary is enough to make all the hormones you need to have a regular period, but the number of ova (eggs) is reduced to half.

Pain: Well check a pregnancy test first as a late cycle and pain could be from pregnancy either in the uterus or in the tube (ectopic).  This could also be ovulation pain and some pain after from the ovulation site bleeding a bit (hemorrhagic corpus luteum).  There are a few other causes, but start by checking the pregnancy test.

No relation: Having an ovary removed does not affect your menstrual cycles, unless your other ovary is not functioning (rare). Women only need one ovary to maintain hormone levels. I recommend keeping a menstrual calendar. If your cycle continues to be longer, you may want medical management.

Quite Normal: 16 year old female, feels pain in right ovary a week or two before and after period starts and ends asks is this normal. Quite normal, something called Mittelschmertz  or Middle pain; occurs at mid-cycle, at ovulation time on the side of the ovary releasing its egg in about 20% of menstruating women. Usually not on one side alone.

Full exam/hydrate: Studies show that abdominal pain in females is multifactorial, pregnancy must first be ruled out. Your pain is very ephemeral. You should visit Urgent Care for a full exam where a doctor can check your vital signs, dip your urine, and do an exam to see if anything more troublesome could be developing. You may need an ultrasound to rule out ovarian cysts and if the pain acutely worsens, go to ER.
