Hay fevers: You likely get an acute episode of allergic rhinosinusitis or previously known as hay fever. Depending how severe your symptoms are, you might need antibiotic and antiinflammatory medications if bacterial infections occur. Please see your local allergist for evaluation.

May be allergies: This doesn't sound like flu (think high fever, sore throat, achey all over,cough,exhaustion).
It doesn't even sound like sinusitis.
What it sounds like is allergies, likely to airborne pollens, molds and/or dust. But itchy throat/pallet also often caused by certain foods.
Try antihistamines to see if they help. Then see a Dr. to see if you can find what you are allergic too and try to avoid it.

At this time a viral upper respiratory tract infection seems more likely than Covid in view of runny nose, no fever.Nevertheless, isolate from others until you're sure that it's a simple head cold that resolves in a week or so.  Chest tightness bears watching. Significant breathing difficulties should be reported to your MD for instructions re testing&amp;treatment

Allergy testing: The most definitive way to know if this is from allergies is to be tested, either a skin or blood test. Your symptoms do sound a lot like allergies and will probably respond to an antihistamine; however you should consult with your physician first.

URTI: Upper respiratory tract infections (urti) are usually viral in origin and are best treated symptomatically. I your symptoms are present for only a few days to a week, you are best taking a decongestant pill like nyquil day or night or sudafed to get relief for the runny nose. For relief from phlegm Mucinex (guaifenesin) or Robitussin do a good job at breaking down the mucous.

Cold, allergy, sinus: But which? That is the eternal question. If symptoms have been present less than 1 week & mucous is yellow or green it's almost certainly a cold. Rx: rest, lots of liquids, saline nasal spray, ibuprofen, aspirin, or acetominophen. When symptoms last more than a week it may be allergy or sinusitis. Mucous water, sneezing, itching - that's allergy. Cough, thick mucous, headache likely sinusitis.

It is not normal to have chronic cough. You should have it checked with a local physician to get proper diagnosis and treatment.
