Skin infection : When there are red and raised areas on the palms and soles it could be a fungal infection that started with the feet that spread to the hands from touching the feet. Warts can be asymptotic and can be on both the palms or the soles. Hyperhidrosis or really sweaty palms and soles can be another cause. At 14, alot of changes going on, hormonal effects can play a roll as well. Take him to see his dr.

There are: A number of more common reasons for itchy palms and legs.  Why have you chosen cholestasis as the reason?  Do you have existing biliary disease and more symptoms?

Antihistamine: An antihistamine and cool compress is suggested. If the stinger is present, please see urgent care. The line may indicate inflammation or infection. Avoid rubbing the area and keep the skin clean and dry.

Insect bite?:  Here’s the deal: insect bites especially reschedule bites should resolve in a couple days with no itching. If your sister is itching in the spot such as an arthropod bite or an insect bite you should definitely go see your dermatologist and see if there’s a possible infection in this area and whether or not you need antibiotics, and so forth, or other problems.

Arthus reaction: This sounds like a classical arthus reaction to the sting.It is not the scary dangerous bee sting reaction, but represents a protective response.The body turns local capillaries into soaker hoses that flood the area with serum to dilute the bite toxins.That slows/dilutes the effect on the body.The swelling can take days to fade/itch/be warm.Allergex may help the itch but won't change the timetable

Need evaluation: You definitely needs to see your gp for more eval. Try to go there when you have the pink blotches. Do you have them in any other location besides palms and soles? Certain things like allergy/urticaria; exposure to something affecting your palms/soles, etc- including secondary syphillis should be considered. The rash in syphillis usually stays there and not only for 1 hour.Go to see gp get checked.
