my 2 year old has had large brown spots appear under his arms, they are not itchy nor raised they look like large freckles, any ideas?

Harmless nevi: It sounds like he has nevi or birth marks. These are usually benign like freckles. However, if he has six or more nevi on his body he should be evaluated by his pediatrician or dermatologist.

i have purple-ish colored dots about the size of a freckle that have appeared on my right forearm overnight. they are flat, not itchy or painful and only in a 2inch wide by 8 inch long. 1st time w/these but believe they may be petechiae. concerning?

: I would  follow up today with urgent care or ER that can do complete blood count, as it may be petechia. Any dots in your mouth? .

Topicals,cold comp.: Cold compresses, topical Hydrocortisone  cream, calamine lotion, caladril lotion, or an otc antihistamine.

Allergies???: Hard to say- could be allergic reaction to environment, laundry detergent or dryer sheets, soap or shower products.  Keep a journal of when the itching begins and what you did and what you used that day and day before.  Possibly see a Dr. or Allergist

Dermatitis: You probably got into something, or got bitten. Try over the counter Hydrocortisone and antihistamine cream like benadryl, (diphenhydramine) if that does not work see doc for something stronger or if it spreads or gets worse.

Hydradenitis: You may have an inflammatory condition called hydradenitis suppurativa which begins in the hair follicles and can result in locally swollen lymph glands and in complex abscess formation. It also tends to run in families. Do get checked - for this, and for other possible causes. Hope that helps.

It's possible or : Perhaps contact with some chemicals or from an underlying medical condition. Go see your dr to assess the cause.

Hard to say.: I would really have to see the lesion. Bug bites that do not itch are unusual, but not unheard of.  One possibility for a red dot becoming a red circle is a tick bite - and one species of tick transmits Lyme disease. So it would be prudent to have it looked at, and if necessary, treated.
