Not good idea: Never good to mix Meds.  Have your Physician and your Dentist talk to each other to decide on which antibiotic, and at what dose, would be most efficacious.

i got switched to macrobid but took one 500mg cipro (ciprofloxacin) 4 hours ago. is it ok to take the macrobid now and not take the cipro (ciprofloxacin) again? don't want to wait

Macrobid vs cipro (ciprofloxacin): You were presumably switched for a reason. Maybe the laboratory reported back that the bug that was infewcting you was not sensitive -i,e, was not destroyed by cipro (ciprofloxacin) but was by macrobid. You should speak to your doc about why he choose to switch your antibiotics.

i take beta blockers and synthroid, (thyroxine) is it ok to take phenylephrine if i have a cold?

Avoid it: Oral nasal decongestants, such as sudafed (pseudoephedrine) and sudafed pe (phenylephedrine), can increase blood pressure by increasing your heart rate and by causing blood vessels to narrow, also known as vasoconstriction.   These effects are greater with immediate release products and higher doses.   Pseudoephedrine and phenylephedrine can also be found in many cold, cough, and flu medicines.

Yes it is okay: Take your Cipro (ciprofloxacin) for your UTI as per your doctor's direction.

Yes: For some taking probiotics while on antibiotics can lower the risk of antibiotic associated diarrhea.  It would certainly be appropriate to continue probiotics for a few weeks after the antibiotics to help recolonize the gut with good bacteria.  If you need a specific brand, align is a good daily over the counter probiotic.

Yes: There should be no issues given your history but I wouldn't rely on this medication by itself to treat chronic congestion. Consider nasal sprays as well if congestion becomes a persistent problem.
