Not recommended: The key is getting a doctor's advice on what to take and when. Antibiotics may alter the effectiveness of other medications and cause side effects or allergic reactions.

Cipro/amoxicillin: Amoxicillin, a member of the penicillin family, is a common antibiotic used to treat dental related infections. Cipro (ciprofloxacin) belongs to the class of antibiotics known as fluoroquinolones. It is a very potent, and is commonly used to treat UTI's and respiratory infections.
