Not good idea: Never good to mix Meds. Have your Physician and your Dentist talk to each other to decide on which antibiotic, and at what dose, would be most efficacious.

Not recommended: The key is getting a doctor's advice on what to take and when. Antibiotics may alter the effectiveness of other medications and cause side effects or allergic reactions.

Cipro/amoxicillin: Amoxicillin, a member of the penicillin family, is a common antibiotic used to treat dental related infections. Cipro (ciprofloxacin) belongs to the class of antibiotics known as fluoroquinolones. It is a very potent, and is commonly used to treat UTI's and respiratory infections. Generally, there are no known interactions between the two, but always provide a complete list of meds to your doctor to be sure.
