is neosporin safe to use frequently during pregnancy? roughly 1-3 times a day, 4-5 times a week for 10 weeks? im particularly concerned with the ingredient neomycin. unfortunately ive become quite clumsy during pregnancy.

Neosporin: Not sure what being "clumsy during pregnancy" has to do with taking Neosporin, but topical Neosporin is considered not to be adversely effecting pregnancy.

i usually apply uniflex-n cream (betamethasone 0.1%, neomycin 0.5%) to prevent pimple from growing bigger at my face. it works. is it actually safe?

No: This is not useful for acne. Neomycin is of no value for any use on any skin problem. Betamethasone is a potent steroid which should not be used on the face. It increases risk for glaucoma and cataracts. Repeated use on the face, especially young women, may lead to a condition called "perioral dermatitis". When this occurs it seems to get better when Betamethasone is applied, only to rebound when.

is it safe for me to have a shingles vaccine if i had an allergic reaction to neosporin  and was told that i was allergic to the neomycin in it?

No : If you've had an allergic reaction, you should not get the shingles shot.

the doctor said it is safe to put this in my child nose , the more i read about  maxitrol (dexamethasone neomycin and polymyxin) it say to not to. my child is not a year old yet?

Maxitrol (dexamethasone neomycin and polymyxin) in babies: Most resources such as medication package inserts and pdr info is based on fda studies, and many meds are not tested for safety in infants and pregnant women, and so those resources cannot recommend safety in those cases.  However, many meds are used "off label", and if your doctor has clinical experience in using this medication safely for off label uses such as in a child's nose, it should be ok.

i was prescribed corticosteroids maxitrol (dexamethasone, polymyxin b sulfate, neomycin sulfate) to use on eyelids (instead of in the eyes) for dry eyes by ophthalmologist. are these safe to use on eyelids for long period of time (6 weeks). thanks?

: You are treated for something else not for dry eyes with this ointment or suspension. Please follow closely with your ophthalmologist.

i was given neomycin-polymyxin-hc ear susp for fluid in ear and bulging ear drum. i am taking dymista, zyrtec, lexapro (escitalopram) & singulair. is this safe? side effects? can this make me more dizzy? i'm nervous

It is safe: Should not interact with your meds and not make you more dizzy . Bulging eardrum??! Sounds like you needed oral antibiotics . Are you sure that's what the doc said??

Antibiotic Cream: They are two different chemicals that are antibacterial.

No: These are effective antibiotics for susceptible organisms but act in a totally different manner and have a different spectrum of action.  If you need an antibiotic, discuss with your regular doctor which of these, or another is the best for your problem.
