Headache with neck: Head ache with tight neck of acute onset with fever need to rule out meningeal irritation like happens in meningitis. If it is a chronic problem for months may be related to neck arthritis, neural compression, have it checked out. If work up negative, may be fibromyalgia.

Nondiagnostic: Your symptoms are nondiagnostic and possibly unexplainable by a single disorder. More information is needed. Contact your Physician who will take a thorough history and perform a complete physical examination in order to make a diagnosis. Appropriate tests and probably xrays will be ordered.

i am a19 year old female, recovering from kidney problem (lupus nephritis) caused by sle. i am under medication and improving, but my face, skin and lips are pale and anemic. why could it be?

These may be lupus: These symptoms may be part of your lupus and depending on the causes the treatment for lupus are  directed  to treat these also. Just  because  you have lupus does not mean these are all due to one thing. Your  evaluation will help clarify.

Lupus: This is a possibility due to the generalized inflammation that SLE can cause

Doctor can evaluate: Lupus patients may get infections (because their immune systems are not working properly), and they can get vasculitis (their immune systems cause damage to their blood vessels). That means symptoms such as worrisome headaches need to be evaluated by a doctor, to see if there is something being caused or worsened by the lupus.

dx w/lupus almost 2 years ago. i have a painful sensation on left side of head that get chills on same spot. any ideas?

Peripheral neuritis: Tori, this may or may not relate to the lupus.  Lots of people have little sensitive places on the skin that can at times be painful and at times can tingle or feel like it's getting goosebumps or even go numb.  Of course if the pain is very severe or there are other symptoms like visual problems or slurred speech or nausea you should discuss with your doctor.  You can try rubbing the spot.

despite drinking plenty of fluids,  head feels foggy & lightheaded for days after being in the sun. i'm being treated for almost lupus. why does the sun affect my head?

Huh?: This will probably remain an enigma.  Sometimes patients with almost lupus have many unexplained symptoms. Lupus does have associated photo sensitivity, but it is generally not like this.

i have a head cold. i'm on prednisone for lupus. what's a good medicine for congestion?

Perhaps: many over the counter decongestants, the question is, besides prednisone, how is lupus activity and are you on any other treatments for SLE?

anything else i can do when lupus flare makes head feel swollen & i feel confused? increasing prednisone helps but it is a struggle to work thru this!

Suspect ..: I suspect your issues have less to do with lupus vascular inflammation than other issues. Prednisone is an energy booster, but depression may be in the equation. The picture is more stress than active sle!

could lupus cause cognitive issues? im having issues with my speech. its getting harder to get words out and express my thoughts out loud. recalling information is getting harder, brain fog, trouble concentrating, and repeating words in my head.
