what is your opinion about an ovarian cyst affecting sex drive?  depression can, and ovarian cysts i read can cause depression.  is there a link?

Sex drives &amp; cysts: If the ovarian cyst has testosterone containing material inside it (male hormone) the sex drive will actually go up. Benign ovarian functional cysts are either estrogen generated or the after affects of ovulation of the corpus luteum which makes progesterone. Depression is usually not associated with either case unless it Is secondary to chronic pain from a large untreated ovarian cyst.

i have just had an ultraosund which shows an ovarian cyst, and a  positive ana blood result. is could there be a link, could the cyst be cancerous?

See details: There is no link between the ovarian cyst and the positive ana. Ovarian cyst are almost always benign but are rarely malignant.

Sometimes: But once they become a chronic problem with infections, it is rare.  Incision and drainage won't cure it either.  The whole cyst must be removed.

No: Removal of a sebaceous cyst requires a small surgical procedure. While it can be done easily in a office setting with the right instruments, it is not something you can do yourself at home.
