Rectocele: Technically rectal prolapse is defined as when all the layers of the rectum come out beyond the anal verge, what you describe sounds more like a rectocele.  Usually a colon and rectal surgeon will work this up with a voiding proctogram, and depending on findings may refer you for biofeedback to re teach you to relax your pelvic floor muscles.

Can happen: Bladder prolapse is a herniation of the bladder into the vagina. It may or may not cause incontinence depending on whether or not it drags the urethra down with it. It can cause lower abdominal discomfort. See your gyn as there are numerous treatment options.

im 3 months post partum and for the last week at the end of the day i feel a fullness/tightness in my rectum. i have prolapsing internal hemerroids (colorectal diagnosed) that go back in after bowel moves. could they be causing this feeling?

The appearance and : the amount of swelling of the various tissues involved, is how to tell. Your doctor would likely have better chance of identifying the problem.

"rectal prolapse " ?: Unless one has had multiple and traumatic vaginal deliveries (unusual at age 21),  the natural tendency to withhold bowel movements due to psychological inhibition or unavailability of restroom facilities may cause stretching of the rectum which decreases the signal indicating a need for evacuation.  Ask your physician about medications to assist with constipation, and drink more liquids.

i have seen urologist. wanted to do a cystoscopy. i wanted something less invasive. i need to see in detail. urethra vagina bladder rectum kidneys. narrowing urethra or stone or blockages.also any prolapse. bladder etc. what imaging test can i ask4?

i had rectal prolapse fixed in september. today notice a lot of bright red blood and blood clots from rectum with no bowel movement. have had hysterectomy. should i monitor or be seen?

Make an appointment: Your surgeon needs to evaluate you. These symptoms could be low risk and temporary. They could be more ominous and your surgeon will be able to make the proper assessment. Please make that appointment.

Hemorrhoids: Although uncomfortable this is unfortunately a common problem seen post-partum. I would suggest working on stool softening regimen and bowel habits to reduce prolapsing. If this continues then I would suggest going to nearby academic center to find colorectal surgeon comfortable handling your hemorrhoids as these could potentially be banded in an outpatient setting. No urgent surgery required now.
