Prescription?: Is this a prescription dosage?  If so, talk with your doctor regarding side effects and drug interactions.  If it is not your dose of medication, then i would advise avoiding taking too much of this medication.  There is no "safe" medication -- not even over the counter medications.

Should be no problem: There are many patients on this combination. I would not worry about serotonin syndrome.I have only seen 2 cases in 30 years of practice, and one was on zoloft (sertraline) alone.Best wishes.

Tolerance OK term: I am glad you use the term tolerance which is a decrease of the effect of the medication over time; the person becomes accustomed to it. It is different from addiction (craving, withdrawal symptoms, chronic compulsive use; and different from physical dependence). A dose of 10 mg of Ritalin (methylphenidate) twice a day is a good therapeutic dose. I do not know why you take it but ask your health provider (nuvigil?).

Doesn't work: that way, and it is extremely hard to take any medication 6 times a day, if you feel uncontrolled or uncomfortable with the current dose, your doctor can adjust it for you accordingly, the medicine can be taken twice a day but with a different dose, or  may be your doctor would change to another medicine(s) for better control, good luck

Lots!: Try to avoid unnecessary pills. You take a lot! The only problem might be Prozac that can make side effects worse e/ both ritalin and xanax (alprazolam). Ask Dr to keep an eye on you - tell them if you notice dizzy or drowsey or other bad feelings.

Don't Bother: Taking 30mg of Ritalin (methylphenidate) will do little except increase your heart rate, elevate your blood pressure, and will not give a "high".  Taking these kind of medicines without your physicians approval can be dangerous and should never be done.  I list the mild effects, but long term use can lead to paranoid schizophrenic reaction that is very difficult to treat,  don't bother trying!

It depends: Many people will see some improvement in concentration within the first week on an adhd med. Learning how to focus on your work, pay attention to the right thing, and control your own behavior may take longer! the meds don't "fix" you; they just give you a tool to help you focus. You still have to do the rest of the work to improve your performance.
