No: It depends a bit on you and your overall condition. It you ease into it, train, practice, most will do fine. Nothing works for everyone, but if you want to try, great. Activity is better than inactivity.

Local heat: Aleve (naproxen) or Advilif not allergic and use topical BioFreeze. I suggest a thorough exam and xrays of your back.

i have bilateral plantar fasciitis and chronic pain of right ankle due to some injuries. can i take dance lessons (salsa, tango, swing..) &go dancing?

Not wise: The plantar fasciitis is unlikely to heal with an activity such as dancing. I would suggest you consult with a physician to discuss treatment options for you, so that you can see improvement and then eventually get back to dancing. Although you probably could push through the discomfort, your condition can not heal without a period of rest from stress on the fascia.

Active recovery: Ice or heat depending on how long ago this happened and what helps with the discomfort, massage, physical therapy modalities possibly. If it continues then see you local ortho md.

i have back pain but i have joined dance classes as i love dancing. is it gonna increase my back pain problem?

Depends: depending on the cause of the backpain results can vary. If your back pain is a rsult of osteoarthritis (common back pain) physicial activity will not make it worse but if its due to spinal stenosis and other reasons it may make the pain worse.

is there anyway to help get feeling back into the middle toes after wearing and dancing in high heels?  i have  to wear heels again tonight.

i was dancing as usual and when i went to stretch, my hip popped out and back in. it made a huge sound. hurt a little. should i be concerned?

Sprain: An acute sprain of the hip joint was likely. Cold applications for forty eight hours followed by heat applications,rest,and if you can take them,NSAIDS like ibuprofen help control inflammation that accompanies such injuries. Allow 7-10 days for significant joint injuries to heal.

Accepted Answer

Yes, but do some PT: You would benefit from physical therapy to optimize strength/endurance/flexibility/coordination in your lower extremities and core; taping or bracing may help for more strenuous activity; see a sports med/knee specialist for specific recs re how to stay active and keep your knees pain free; make your rehab exercises part of your regular exercise routine and you should be able to go dancing.
