i'm curious. how common is nystagmus with trileptal? i take 150mg a day. does drug induced nystagmus resolve with discontinuation of the med?

With overdose: Lamotrigine induced nystagmus has been reported with toxic levels. Your daily dose is of normal range but it is possible you were titrated up too quickly. You need to be weaned off the drug safely and I recommend calling your prescribing physician as soon as possible.

Ritalin (methylphenidate): Drugs.Com listed these possible ocular side effects:  "visual disturbances, mydriasis, difficulties with accommodation, diplopia, and blurring of vision." i did not see nystagmus specifically listed.

spinning when rolling over in bed to left side-lasts several seconds.negative for crystals/nystagmus+vestibular  tests all negative.what could it be?

Benign positional: vertigo, which may be related to issues other than inner ear. I suggest a trial of meclizine and prednisone- ask your physician about this regimen. try taking Benadryl at bedtime. Get a comprehensive medical examination including blood and urine analysis.

this report will tell you and your doctor everything. You have a higher chance of chronic problems with your hormones, bones, muscles, and nervous system.  You also have a higher chance of getting another cancer during your life.  And just remember you survived bad cancer and tough treatment at a very young age, so it was worth it!

had epley for r. side bppv this morning.  did twice.  1st time nystagus seen.  second time no nystagmus but horrible spinning sitting up.  normal?

Epley &amp; bpv: Nystagmus and the sense of spinning are common to bpv, and may be exacerbated by the epley manuever.  It may help you to do the exercises more slowly next time.

Depends: It depends on the stage and the age at the time of diagnosis and treatment. Survival can be as high as 80-90%. It will of course go down if untreated or if tumor is poorly differentiated or metastatic or if patient is older than one year of age.

: Yes, neurological and ophthalmological conditions can symptomatically temporarily worsen under periods of increased emotional stress.  Unilateral oscillopsia and upbeat nystagmus may be due to problems with the superior oblique eye muscle.  If inner ear or brain would be bilateral.  The former may fluctuate and be hard to see clinically.  A videonystagmogram may be needed.

Nystagmus and age: Nystagmus is usually a result of some other condition. If heat condition gets worse and cannot be treated, it will get worse.
