Healthy Normal!: Using the WHO infant calculators:  weight for age . Your baby boy is in the 92.2 percentile.  For height, he is in the 94.8 percentile. For weight for length, he is in the 79.1 percentile. Note percentile greater than 2 and less than 98 is Healthy weight!

5 weeks pregnant. no morn sickness other than bloating and slight cramping . is this normal. is my baby growing fine? or is it too early ?

Normal: Not all women have morning sickness. You may develop it later in the first trimester or you may just be one of the fortunate people who do not experience it. There is no reason to think that the baby will have problems because of this, .

Please call your OB: Your OB should be doing an ultrasound anyway between 11 1/2 - 13 1/2 weeks to do the integrated screen testing and they can do measurements of the baby to make sure the growth is normal.

i am booked for the 1st anatomy scan at 27 weeks 1 day. is this normal or is it too late. i just want to know if my baby is growing ok?

Too late ?: For hundreds of generations the only size monitoring of pregnancy was done by physical exam in the office (baby bump measurement). This was crude by today's standard but still done by most OB's. This should be fine to pick up any issues.

Check with your OB: Congratulation on your pregnancy.  You might want to check with your OB regarding your ultrasound.  On average, a normal fetus at 17-18 weeks is usually around 5 inches long (13 cm) and weighs approx 130-150 gms.  Remember a single ultrasound can't evaluate normal growth, only a repeat us in about 4-5 weeks could document this.  If all else is normal, i wouldn't worry about it. Take care.

i am 12 wks and 2days pregnant and my baby is growing normally but the sac is too small i was in a car wreck when i was about two weeks is this why ?

No: The uterus and pregnancy are very well protected in the early stages of pregnancy (up to about 12/13 weeks).

i am pregnant but my baby is not growing normally. my l.m.p is 18-04-13 and the baby is only 5weeks and 3days my dr suggest me abortion kindly help me?

Fetal growth: If your last menstrual was in april, your baby would have been way more older than 5 weeks 3 days. If indeed that is true, you baby would have died by now. No heart beat would be seen and your doc is right that if the fetus has not come out by now, you will need to have medical intervention to get it out.

i am 24 week pregnant and my afi is 10, 3 it is a value to concern about? does drinking water help  my baby is growing well with and i feel her active

Accepted Answer

Normal.: Afi of 10.3cm is within the normal range (5-20 or 5-25 depending on where you read). It's just on the lower end of normal. Drinking plenty of water is always recommended during pregnancy. I would recommend 8 to 10 glasses per day or until your urine is a clear to light yellow color. Speak with your obgyn if you have any other concerns. Good luck!

Anxiety?: You probably have anxiety
but do an ultrasound to see if growth is appropriate.

after grow spurts, so babies go back to eating the regular amount?

Growth spurts: Often after a growth spurt when a baby eats more they will settle back to their usual feedings. It does vary some. Most important is to follow the babies growth parameters with his/her doctor which let's you know he/she is growing! All the best.
