Safe?: There seems to be very little information on this. The manufacturer is not helpful here either. No evidence of harm: After several decades of use and of research, there is still no scientific evidence that ultrasonography whether internal or external is harmful to human embryos and fetuses. The anecdotal stories of some women "who reported a miscarriage days after scan"  unfortunately can not be viewed as reliable or scientific. Pregnancy losses are sadly very common (up to 15-25%) without prior "internal scans"

Yes, but............: It is generally safe but a positive ANA is not a reason to take it. Unless you have positive anticardiolipin antibodies or a positive lupus anticoagulant, the risks outweigh any benefits.

Diet: Most people eating yams actually are eating sweet potatoes.  Yams which are more yellow in color inside, are a source of phytoestrogen like soy beans and soy products are.  If something is part of your diet, it usually is fine as opposed to its you're only dietary item.
