If occipital nerve block unilaterally or bilaterally, the local injection will provide limited systemic levels and is of little if any significance. May or may not help. Better perhaps might be prn 100% oxygen inhalation. The usual migraine drugs for abortive or preventative intervention may not be safe in pregnancy.
