Few days: Ursodiol is an effective treatment for the pruritis associated with cholestasis of pregnancy.  Generally, the pruritis associated with cholestasis will begin to improve within 3-7 days after starting the ursodiol therapy.  Once the pregnancy ends the pruritis usually abates and no further therapy with ursodiol is needed.

Avoid use, unless...: The literature is unclear about whether there are any dangerous effects of the medication during pregnancy, however, the drug’s manufacturer states: “Do not use during pregnancy, especially during the first trimester.” So use during pregnancy would not be advisable unless at the direction of one of your doctors who is aware of your pregnancy and will follow your response to the medication.

Not certain: Probiotics are generally very safe, but one must realize that they are live organisms, and side effects, although rare, have occurred, including rare instances of bacteria in the bloodstream. The decision to take them should be between you and your obstetrician, taking into account the rare side effects vs. whatever positive effects you believe they may have.  Good luck with your pregnancy!

NO: Omega 3 oils as sold over the counter are unregulated. That means we do not know exactly what is in them. Therefore, you should not be taking them during pregnancy. Furthermore, studies have defined that these oils taken as supplements, are likely of little to no value with regard to cardiovascular health. I would suggest you take nothing other than what you are prescribed while pregnant.

Probiotics: Taking Probiotics are always safe.  Your body needs the good bacteria to help with your digestion when pregnant or not.  It is a form of bacillus that is necessary for complete digestion so your body can breakdown foods you eat and absorb all the nutrients that your growing fetus needs.

doctor, i am going through ivf frozen embryo transfer cycle and started experiencing hair fall. so can i take natural nu' u biotin 10000mg tablet at least once/twice a week? is it safe for pregnancy? i am 36 years old with thyroid and no other issues?

Thyroid and biotin : Biotin can interfere with the accuracy of thyroid testing and management.  I recommend you speak with your provider about alternatives for hair loss that do not involve Biotin.

Scalp massage, avoidance of chemical coloring/perms, shampoo about 2-4 times per week (not daily), good nutritional intake and hydration, as well as regular exercise are safe options for now

Tibb tablets: those are herbal formulations, with many ingredients, can't tell which of which is safe or not, however if not mentioned in the package insert that it is safe during pregnancy,  call the manufacturer. With sore throat and sinus symptoms , use saline nasal washes and salt water gargles, if no improvement, see your doctor, wishing you a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby

can i still take any other emergency pill to prevent pregnancy

Details matter: Always know how to use any pills BEFORE using them. Zinnia P appears to be a combination hormone pill. For daily use, it is safest to assume full protection starts after a few weeks on the first pack (one's own doctor can give individual advice). If trying to use it as Emergency Contraception, ask one's doctor for "how many pills, which pills out of the pack, and when to take them."
