See a urologist: at age 23, slow urinary flow should not be due to an enlarged prostate (which is what flomax (tamsulosin) treats). so I question your diagnosis and treatment.

No, few days, yes: Don't stop exercising unless it increases discomfort from prostatitis. If attempting IVF, should not masturbate more than every 3-5 days, as may degrade quantity/quality of sperm, which could alter IVF success.

Yes: Masturbation is fine but you may note the ejaculatory volume diminish with the flomax (tamsulosin). It does not hurt anything or weaken the erection.

: A prostate exam can't tell if you have a tight bottle neck, i.e. bladder outlet obstruction (BOO), it only reveals if your prostate is enlarged or not. An enlarged prostate (BPH) is the common cause of BOO . However, if you truly have BPH I am not sure if too much masturbation and holding ejacualtion are the cause of prostate enlargement. If you do not have BPH, you need a video urodynamics study.

Yes.: But at 43, I would ask what the indication(s) are for you to be on tamsulosin.  Is it for BPH symptoms or stone disease?

: First, I wonder why do you need to take this medication at your age? Second, you are for sure overdosed but I do not think you are in danger. Please stay in bed if you feels lightheadedness with changing position or standing up. Do not take medication without doctor's prescription and always consult your pharmacist if you are in doubt.

Changing treatment: Yes. It is safe. The only outstanding question would the saw palmetto be strong enough to treat your prostate hypertrophy.  You will know within seven days after the change.

Not ideal: Doxazosin and Flomax (tamsulosin) are in the same class of drug, known as Alpha blockers.  They would not usually be prescribed together, because this could increase the risk of low blood pressure and symptoms such as dizziness.  Finasteride is in a different class of drug (which affects testosterone metabolism) and can be taken together with either doxazosin or tamsulosin.

i take .5mg of xanax (alprazolam) as needed for anxiety. just got prescription for narco and flomax for kindey stones. safe to take all three?

Caution is advised: Xanax (alprazolam) and Norco both increase sedation and drowsiness. Always check with your treating phycisian when adding or changing medication.
