Accepted Answer

Yes: Gum bleeding is the first sign of gingival inflammation and can be eliminated by thorough brushing of the area.  If the bleeding gum is due to food impaction, i.e. Food get caught in the area, check with your dentist to close any open contact between the teeth to eliminate food impaction concern.  Good oral hygiene follow through will ensure the healthy, none-bleeding gums.

50 hours passed after wisdom teeth extraction, i feel no pain and there is no bleeding at all.. is it safe to eat a sandwich now?

Accepted Answer

Softer foods: Even though you do not have pain continue to be  a bit cautious, especially if you have stitches. Have a sandwich if you can eat this comfortably.  Use your common sense when eating during healing.

i have canker sores that sometimes have minor, brief bleeding.  is it safe to eat raw sushi?  i'm worried about parasites entering my bloodstream.

Accepted Answer

Wait to eat it: It is better to wait until your mouth is healed before you eat any raw sushi.  You are at higher risk of infection when you have open sores.

are cocoa almonds safe to eat if you have type 2 diabetes?

Carbs: With diabetes its all about carbs. If the cocoa almonds have lots of sugar, carbs will be higher. Bare Almonds are low in carbs. Look at the label and see what the carb content is. The bigger question is how many carbs should a diabetic eat. I believe 20g/meal is very low, 30g/meal is low and 40g/meal is controlled. This is based on my experience treating diabetics.

Sushi: Sushi is raw. So probably not a good idea when you have open sores in mouth.

i got an internal hemorrhoid about 9 days ago, but there hasn't been any bleeding for a week. is it safe to consume alcohol at this point?

No: There is no contraindication to drinking alcohol with an internal hemorrhoid but there is a problem to be consuming alcohol at age 17.
I would wait until you are of age or if you happen to be addicted to alcohol at this early age seek medical help /

You need to: undergo colonoscopy to exclude possibility of other causes of rectal bleeding, such as tumor, colitis, diverticulosis, or angiodysplasia.  Rectal bleeding is abnormal.

Sort of: Some times the dilated veins develop a blood clot and that gets organized and that is as good as a cure.
Have a healthy diet, exercise, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, and get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health!

That diet = wt loss: Any very restrictive diet, like the one you describe, can lead to significant weight loss.  This might reduce the symptoms from your hemorrhoids for a bit but is not sustainable.  Soft stools can also be achieved with a high fiber diet and adequate fluids/water.  You should see your doctor to make sure this really is only hemorrhoids.

can piles cause bleeding?

Yes: Piles are small collections of blood vessels under the skin near the rectum.  They can enlarge in pregnancy and become pretty fragile.  If they are traumatized, they can bleed a little. Usually this is spotting or a little blood in the toilet rather than a significant amount of blood.  The best way to prevent this is to have soft, formed bowel movements.
