Carbs: With diabetes its all about carbs. If the cocoa almonds have lots of sugar, carbs will be higher. Bare Almonds are low in carbs. Look at the label and see what the carb content is. The bigger question is how many carbs should a diabetic eat. I believe 20g/meal is very low, 30g/meal is low and 40g/meal is controlled. This is based on my experience treating diabetics.
