Many Many Variables: Safe is a relative term & always in the eyes of the beholder. Microwave is just electromagnetic radiation (below infra-red, above radio in frequency) & a method of heating water (as in a microwave oven). If cells get hot enough, proteins are denatured (as in cooking), no longer function, cells damaged/die. So this is just a way of targeting tissue. Key: how applied, controlled & collateral damage.

when i take cialis its like it stops blood from entering my penis, i get harder without cialis & the head of my penis gets real cold. can cialis have a reverse affect because of my enlarged prostate. i take 20mg of cialis, is 30 mg safe, thanks?

: I'm not aware of such a paradoxical effect of cialis. Do you require cialis type meds in order to get enough of an erection for vaginal penetration? I don't recommend taking more than the maximal dose of cialis. A urologist can advise you best,especially regarding the interaction of prostate pathology and erection.

Ask anesthesiologist: Your anesthesiologist will do an assessment of risk before surgery and discuss this with you. If there is doubt of safety, speak with your family doc or internist to discuss your fears. The surgery you describe should be safe for the conditions you describe

Yes...: Yes. But an enlarged prostate does not always cause trouble in urination; on the other hand, a smaller one doesn't guarantee no voiding trouble. Bottom line is how the bladder neck and prostate urethra relax and open smoothly or not at the time to pee. So, in practice, routine cystoscopy is not needed, but may be required to rule out urethral stricture for failing to response to medical treatment.

FOLLOW UR DOCs ADVIC: That is a rather large prostate and you need to have it checked by your urologist, get psa level done and if symptomatic and normal psa, you may need meds to shrink the prostate and improve urinary flow.Or surgery as may be recommended
if psa is high you may need a biopsy to rile out cancer
if biopsy positive discuss options with your urologist/oncologist.

Not typical: This is not a typical sign of prostate enlargement. Urinary frequency, urgency, slow stream, incomplete bladder emptying, etc. Are tip-offs to prostate enlargement or benign bladder outlet obstruction. The force of ejaculation is highly variable and not something you should be concerned about.

Symptoms: If you have increased bladder discomfort where urine flow is compromised, then meds would be needed.  How accurate is a digital prostate exam? Really based on the examiner.  Have ur gp refer u to a urologist if you have symptoms of enlarged prostate.
