Unlikely,: as a bruise/swelling under the skin from trauma (aka hematoma) should resolve with time. It might be a good idea to see what that "permanent bump is". I'm sure it is nothing serious but it would give you peace of mind. You should get a physical exam. Best of luck.

my 2 year old son bangs his head when falling asleep and waking up. to a point where he has this big bump on the back of his head and it sticks out..its red and even has hair missing. will his skull be like that permanently?

Actually normal: Head banging among babies and toddlers is actually a normal behavior. Some children do this around nap time or bedtime, almost as a self-soothing technique. Try padding the area lightly where he bangs his head. You may also want to talk to his Pediatrician to evaluate the bump and hair loss. Children usually grow out of this behavior by age 5 with no permanent deformations.

Depends: If recent, it may go away. Of &gt;6 mo, it is probably blood clot that turned into scar. Such can be removed endoscopically. Brow lift can also be performed at the same time. If medically indicated, insurance is likely to cover it.

Normal.: This is how the body heals. It will take a few more weeks but the inflammation after the injury is how the body heals. Give it more time and you can just leave it alone.

Possibly not: Restylane (dermal fillers) is hyaluronic acid, which is very well tolerated by most and disappears after 3-6 months.  However, if it is the cause of these bumps there could be infection or allergy, and  should be checked by the person who did the treatment.  They can probably be removed.  She could of course have an unrelated infection, like acne.  A reputable injector could address this problem separately.

Rhinoplasty: It may be a bony step-off from the osteotomy. It would be much more appropriate and useful to direct this question to your surgeon who knows what he did and is able to examine you.

Possibly: There is no way to know if laser excision will be the best way to remove your nasal bump until it has been looked it. Your surgeon would need to know if the bump is soft or hard, attached to the skin or not, and the depth the bump extends.
