Yes: Salbutamol is a bronchodilator that is used to relieve spasm in the muscle of the airways. I do not like the syrup because i always find it is better to directly deliver the medication to the airways via the nebulizer. Of course, there are many 2 month olds who wheeze for other reasons bedside airway spasm. If there is no improvement with the meds, other diagnoses should be investigated by the doc.

Yes: There is no problem taking Nasonex (mometasone) if it was prescribed for your child along with albuterol.

: With the proper regimen of medications, removal of allergic triggers and otherwise good health, Wheezing should be controllable. Talk to your regular Dr about the frequency and duration of your wheezing episodes. You may need a change in medications for full control.

Every 12 hrs: By the way, you should not use salmeterol by itself to control your asthma.  A steroid inhaler should be the primary drug for asthma control.  Using salmeterol or any type of bronchodilator without an inhaled steroid may make your asthma worse even though you may get transient relief from its use.

If you don't have a doctor and can't afford one you should find a local free clinic or seek assistance through government-sponsored programs. What is "natural"?: Nearly all drugs are purified synthetic forms of naturally occurring plant alkaloids or endogenous substances.  Despite extensive research, no well done studies show superiority or even equivalence of "alternative" treatments compared to standard bronchodilators and anti-inflammatory drugs you refer to. These are very safe and work very well for the majority of asthma related cough & wheezing.

Sounds like: your asthma is  worsening and you would need a full work up including a chest xray, CBC, sputum test, pulmonary function  test, Arterial blood gas  as well as steroids   and antibiotics.

Yes and no: Some stuffiness or sneezing is normal in young babies because of their tiny nasal passages. But much wheezing or coughing, on the other hand, might be signs of something that should be addressed, such as a respiratory infection or reflux.

OK: The active ingredient is salbutamol which is very good for acute episodes of wheezing.  If you are having to use this inhaler often, then i would recommend you visit your physician to possibly be placed on a maintenance inhaler as well.
