Yes: Salbutamol is a bronchodilator that is used to relieve spasm in the muscle of the airways. I do not like the syrup because i always find it is better to directly deliver the medication to the airways via the nebulizer. Of course, there are many 2 month olds who wheeze for other reasons bedside airway spasm. If there is no improvement with the meds, other diagnoses should be investigated by the doc.
