When expired?: Depends on how long ago it expired and the conditions in which it was kept.  The expiration date includes for most medication an extra years worth of safety (not true for many drugs, particularly injectables).  I would not fret if were a year expired.

Probably but why?: With generic versions available, it is cheap enough to not to worry over the cost.   I am unaware of expired Pepcid (famotidine) causing harms although it may be less effective. The us army had done some study on this issue and found that many but not all drugs could be used for , i believe, a few more years after the expiration date.

yes: Expiration dates just have to do with optimal.  It does not loose it's potency all at once. Obviously it is best to use meds before their expiration date.

Expired med: If expiration is 3/12 (end of march 2012) is just a few days experied. Won't be a problem.

: Your choice. The use by dates on these meds is when the producer feels that will still be as potent as they are at production. Post- dated meds are potentially weaker, but ar not toxic in most cases. I would consider using it briefly but replacing your supply in the near future.

Okay: It is not likely to do any harm.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.  Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless.
Practice safe sex.
