random nosebleed 2 nights ago. i have had a few since but nearly not as bad or long lasting as the 1st. is it normal? also to spit up blood after ?

Nose bleed: Nosebleeds may be due to a variety of reasons.  You may have a cold or nasal allergy in which the mucus in your nose erodes the capillaries in your nose to cause your nose bleeds. Try using saline gel to moisturize your nostrils. Using a vaporizer while sleeping is also helpful. Another cause, of course, is high blood pressure. The blood you are spitting out is due to swallowed blood from yournose

is it bad to spit up blood after a nosebleed? the weather is what  caused my nosebleed.

Proabbly not: it's very common for blood to go down the throat. One small bleed that stopped promptly is not a big deal and not a reason for medical attention. If it keeps repeating or is a cup or greater, that would be a reason to see what is happening. Blood leaks, comes up. temporary then not a problem.

Knowing that there are no other problems such as smoking, cancer, chronic cough, points to spitting out blood from the nose bleed. Ears can itch from dry skin, wax, or just because. Try not to put anything into your ear.

: It is not normal to have persistent nosebleeds. If they are more than just an episodic problem, you may want to see your doctor to be sure that you are not having clotting problems or a bleeding disorder. Your doctor will be also able to examine your nose to see if there is any indication why your nose is persistently bleeding. Good luck.

i had a severe posterior nosebleed that needed a rapid rhino to get it to stop. i had the rapid rhino removed by an ent yesterday but im still spitting out blood mixed with my spit. could all this be from blood that filled my sinus cavities?

: Yes, it is likely old blood.
If the site bleeds again the blood will come out in your nostril as well.

Emollient: You may try using a very small amount of emollient like Vaseline to the opening of the nose. Do not go deep and apply very small amount. If it persists past the allergy season, you should see an ENT doctor to ascertain if cauterization if the bleeding area may be needed.

Bloody mucus: First thought is that it's blood mixed with mucus.  Sometimes people can have a little bit of bleeding in back of nose and throat, especially if they're sick with a upper respiratory infection.

Epistaxis: Blood in nose can drip down to throat while you are sleeping and form clots in your throat. See ENT doctor for examination and treatment.

Yes: If the blood drained down the back of your throat that would happen.   If it reoccurs then you need to get checked.
