Maybe; sometimes not: Most people are not perfectly symmetrical, and some people have unequal leg lengths. A primary care doctor or an orthopedic doctor can measure the legs, and also examine the hips, pelvis, and spine to see if there is anything to worry about. In order to have a good exam, the patient will need to be almost completely undressed so that the whole spine/hips/legs can been viewed at the same time.

Can be: While i wouldn't call it normal, leg lengthening is a potential result of total hip replacement and can be no big deal or a significant disability.  Leg lengthening has become less common with newer implants and surgical techniques.  Significant lengthening can be balanced with a heel lift in the other shoe.

: Where is the leg bent?  knee? Get MRI of the knee. Get MRI of pelvis( if not done yet)  check no compression there( piriformis)  and possible EMG of that extremity to assess the integrity of the nerves. At the knee level -arthritis,  bakers cysts  ligament/meniscus integrity can affect knee function and mobility. There are  braces that can gradually extend the knee. F/u/w/  orthopedist and  PT

NoLong-TermProblems: First, the term"cortisone"could mean exactly that or, more likely,another form of it,probably more potent.So it depends on that but also, what's called the "clinical benefit"to you,not just the supposed"half life."I know a few people in whom it"helped"for several months. But who knows, there's lots of variables.But if you want a simple answer,a steroid injection into a joint"should" last 4-8 weeks

Depends on how long: Soreness after a cortisone injection is normal for first 24-48hrs after injection but if lasting longer the injection may not have worked. If it has worked then yes, you may be able to walk longer with less pain.

That depends: First, most of the time one longer leg makes very little difference except when you buy pants! sometimes it can lead to muscle pain and imbalance. Then physical therapy can be very helpful.
