hello, my ca125 is under 35 and my he4 is 70 and cea is 39. i have a bening ovarian cyst in my right ovary, 9cm. doctor want to operate the cyst. do i need to operat this? if yes, do they remove the ovary completely? the doctor said they might remove?

: Most ovarian cysts are benign and can be left alone. Hence they can be followed with an Ultrasound to check on their growth/increase in size periodically(6 monthly). Further we need to know if there is any solid mass inside the cyst. So tell us if you have had more than one Ultrasound showing growth is size. We also need to know if you have any symptoms...why did you get tested in the first place?

is it normal for my period to be delayed if i underwent a laparoscopic ovarian cyst removal surgery? if so, how long should it be delayed? my last period was 11-18th march and i had the surgery on 18th march. its april 29th i havent got my period.

Delay common: Menstrual period delays are common involving ovarian surgeries of up to 3 weeks past the next expected date of the menses. The ovary is the site of many hormones that control the cycle and surgery interrupts the production. If you are not on a secure method of contraception and sexually active, run a pregnancy test.

Depends: Depends for how long is delay and what type of cyst. Talk to your surgeon. Few days delay unlikely make any difference.

Depends: If  the  cyst  is due  to anovulation ( egg which  has  not  released) there  are  a variety  of  abnormal  menstrual patterns  which  may  be  seen,  including a  delay in period. If appropriate a  pregnancy test  should be  done for  delayed or missed periods.

Ovarian cysts: Functional cysts are functional, meaning they grow and regress. Sometimes they're there, sometimes they're not but that just means you have a healthy ovary that grows eggs. You should still get periods.

Absolutely: Cysts are what ovaries do for a living, as in ovulating eggs contained within follicular cysts. They also produce hormones which have an effect on the uterus. The uterus response to hormone changes from the ovaries is to bleed or not bleed. A follicular cyst that doesn't release it's egg doesn't produce progesterone, continues to produce estrogen, and may delay menstrual periods.

Ovarian cysts : A complex ovarian cyst usually has the appearance of septations 8inside on an ultrasound as opposed to a simple cyst that is only filled with fluid. Simple cysts are common and usually do not require any treatment.

Irregular periods: There are lots of reasons a persons period can be late. If there is a chance you could be pregnant then you should repeat a home pregnancy test. If it is negative then waiting a few weeks to see if it returns is reasonable. If it does not then it is time to visit your friendly obgyn doctor to discuss irregular periods.

No: Usually ovarian cysts does not cause delay in periods untill unless they make hormones and pump them into your blood which is a remote and highly unlikely possibility.

However delay in period need to be rectified. Occasional delay is ok. If this is persistent or more frequent your thyroid and other organs needs to be checked up.

See your OB-GYN: Complex ovarian cysts are common in premenopausal women.  Most common are hemorrhagic cysts (benign cysts that may have bled internally).  A follow-up ultrasound in 6-8 weeks may be needed to ensure that it resolves.  If it doesn't, may need to consider other etiologies.  
Pelvic pain or hip pain related to your cycle may be related to fibroids, adenomyosis, or endometriosis.  Talk to an OB-GYN.
