Can be: You can damage your brachial plexus with certain dislocations. I would recommend seeing a physician to check on both vascular and nerve issues to make sure there is not lasting damage or necessary interventions. Consider seeing a physiatrist for this type of injury as they will be able to do an EMG if necessary.

Hard to know: If only on one side, then the problem is usually due to compression of blood vessels or nerves.  In rare cases, this could be related to blood clot in the arm or inflammatory disease affecting nerves or blood vessels (vasculitis, mononeuritis multiplex, or others). An examination is required to further differentiate potential causes.

Wait  months: Sensory recovery in cases of severe chronic compression can be incomplete and take months, most enjoy improvement in discomfort numbness recovery is incomplete and takes time and nerve healing which is beyond any bodys. Control the surgery removes pressure from nerve so it can heal and stop getting worse.

Not usually: Anemia is too few red blood cells.  This lowers your oxygen carrying capacity of your blood.  As a result of this your heart and lungs need to work harder to circulate your blood.  This should not cause finger numbness.  However is you are breathing faster than normal, this can cause some extremity numbess.  If this keeps up get it checked out.

Have it evaluated: Which two fingers? If it is the ring and small finger, it is likely an ulnar nerve entrapment or a cervical nerve root compression. Other fingers may be due to carpal tunnel syndrome. Have it evaluated.

If pernicious: An anemia caused by b-12 deficiency can cause a peripheral neuropathy amongst other issues.  But many other anemias are less likely to cause nerve dysfunction.  Might have your internist sort this out.  Perhaps you have a co-morbidity, such as carpal tunnel having no relationship to your anemia.

Nerve damage: Sensation in the body is governed by nerve cells which run from the spine all the way to the tips of the fingers.  That is why damage to the spine can affect sensation even in a finger tip.  In general, the further away from the central nervous system (spine and brain) an injury occurs, the easier it is for it to heal.  A spinal disc, pressing on a nerve, can be removed to help in some cases.
