is it harmful to drink 24 cups of water a day?

Yes: Drinking 24 cups (assuming 8 oz cups) of water a day is a lot of water, and would likely wash too much sodium out of one's body. If a person has some special reason for drinking this much water, he should get evaluated by his doctor, who can assess the reason, as well as check urine and blood chemistries to see if the electrolytes (sodium, potassium, chloride, etc...) are dangerously abnormal.

Likely ok: While diabetes, urinary tract infections & some other illnesses can cause frequent urination, your urinary patterns sound normal. Vit c & soda can increase urinary frequency as well. If you're having pain, or don't feel like you're fully emptying your bladder, or if you're still concerned, please see your pcp. You do need to try & increase your water intake to about 8 glasses per day.

Urine: Dark urine is not in any way a symptom of a disease.

Good: This is not a bad thing. The kidneys need to hydrate. Now first begin by seeing your doctor to check for a urinary track infection if negative just drink your water and relax. Water is very healthy and necessary for your system

Hyponatremia : You might have dilution hyponatremia .Have blood test for low sodium and other electrolytes.

Add fiber/exercise: You are drinking enough water. Having a regular bowel movement requires water, fiber and movement. Try adding more fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet or adding a fiber supplement like metamucil. It is also important that you are moving so do some walking several times a day. If all this does not help see your doctor.

Urinate frequently?: May need bloodwork to rule out diabetes which can make you thirsty and urinate frequently. Also, singing can dry out your throat as well. So. This may just be a side effect of singing.

Unlikely: Neither high calcium nor levo. Will cause foul odor. Most common cause of dark, strong urine is dehydration. You should be drinking minimum of 100 ounces of fluids/day or enough to keep urine color fairly clear, not only to help lower calcium but to prevent kidney stones . Other causes of foul urine are UTI and certain foods and meds. A urinalysis and culture can determine if UTI present.
