You need the packing: The packing is important to prevent against nosebleeds, you don't want to be bleeding excessively after surgery. You want this to be a time for successful healing.

Depends: Although polyps do tend to recur, if one maintains proper follow up and maintains a constant application of nasal steroid spray and other medical treatments after the surgery, their regrowth can be slowed and even prevented.

Bone healed: Certainly by now the bone should be completely healed.  You should see your surgeon to make sure and ask if Physical Therapy might be needed to rehab the arm.

Pain: Your doctor should provide suggestions on that as well. He may choose to give you a pain killer prior to that (called premedication). The choice should be his since he knows you better.

Try saline.: You may first want to check with your surgeon because there are several different kinds of packing.  Usually, over the counter nasal saline (salt water) sprays are very useful after sinus surgery to help rinse away dried blood and crusting. They can be used with splints or stents in place. Do not use any prescription nose sprays until your ENT surgeon says it&#x27;s OK to do so.

Infection: Quite possibly this is an infection. You need to see the surgeon right away to get antibiotics and be properly treated.

Shape of nose: It may stay the same shpe in no bony work was done and if no interference with the tip of the nose.
