my wife ate some very crispy green beans after this she got a blood blister in her mouth that popped and hurt a lot  doc says its herpes  can this be ?

Possibly: Problems like these can only be correctly handled by her doctor in person.  He/she needs to listen to her, perform an examination and possibly run labs or other tests. That's the only way he/she can find out what's going on and what to do about it.

Of course: These serologic tests tell you nothing about whether you ever have outbreaks. Many of us question their value except in confirming clinical suspicion of active or episodic infection.

is a hsv igm & igg blood test helpful after g herpes exposure 6+months ago? no genital outbreak, other symptoms, but have had mouth cold sores before.

Probably yes: The HSV IgG tests are excellent, and a negative result for HSV2 6+ months after exposure shows you were not infected. The HSV1 result should have been positive if your diagnosis of past cold sores is correct, but once in a while the test misses HSV1 (but rarely HSV2). The IgM result doesn't help one way or the other -- it's inherently unreliable anyway, never done by herpes or STD experts.

woman,we both tested 4th gen hiv- cmia,then i did 2x home test -.her pain was internal.besides persistant headache she had blood dots between periods, herpes on mouth, swollen glands. next week we are doing all stds.i have fever since september?

Not HIV: The HIV blood tests are among the most accurate tests that exist for any medical condition. If the 4th gen CMIA tests were done more than 6 weeks after your last possible exposure(s) to HIV or after start of symptoms, they prove you don't have HIV, no matter how high the risk at the time of exposure, and no matter what symptoms you have. See a doctor for diagnosis, but it's not HIV. Good luck.

No risk, no worries: HSV is only transmitted by direct contact with infected tissues. It is rarely if evertransmitted by intermediary objects like eating utensils, drinking glasses, cigarets, towels, etc, You won't get oral herpes unless you kiss or otherwise have contact of your lips with an infected person's infected site. Don't worry about it.

Contagious: Herpes is usually transmitted by contact with the cold sore or genital area in herpes 2. If a person  shedding the virus and with eruptions touches your glass it's possible for the virus to be transmitted to you that way. Genital herpes virus can also cause herpes infection in the oral area.

Unlikely by saliva: Your question isn't clear. Have you been diagnosed with genital herpes? If so, is it for sure a new infection? Apparently new herpes often is actually recurrence of a longstanding infection that previously was asymptomatic. Presumably "penetrated" but "no sex" means fingering? HSV1, the cause of oral herpes, can be transmitted by oral sex, but uncommonly by saliva and rarely if ever by fingering.

Possible: Shedding of herpes virus in the mouth without overt lesions has been demonstrated, as has shedding from the vaginal barrel in the case of genital herpes infection.
