Candida overgrowth is a diagnosis often given by naturopathic doctors and has very little science or evidence to support it as a true infection or disease.

Ye, you can use: topical ketoconazole for 10 day or treatment systemic therapy with fluconazole. However, you should see a medical doctor as well so that any underlying health problems can be treated.

Good for all: The candida diet- which is low in processed sugars would probably benefit many people, even if they dont have a particularly obvious yeast infection. Signs of  yeast overgrowth could include irritability, mood swings, sugar cravings, skin rashes, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, chronic fatigue, rectal and or vaginal itching. There are blood and stool tests that can confirm a candida infection

Yes and no: Candida is rare in the colon.  If there, the test could find it.  It is usually a vaginal problem, and occasionally an esophogeal issue.
