Yes and no.: Yeast is found everywhere. It may be transmitted from surface to surface by contact and, yes, by kissing. But yeast does not cause disease in normal hosts. Vaginal yeast infections occur because of altered vaginal environment. Although a clear precipitant is not always identified contributing factors include high blood glucose, high estrogen levels, recent antibiotic use, wearing of diapers.
