It probably is: Fine, and that is high enough, unless you had a prior splenectomy, you should get this checked out.

This is adequate cou: Platelet counts will fluctuate between 150, 000 to 300, 000. If your count is over 150, 000, it is normal. Surgery can be done safely(if necessary) as long as platelet count is &gt;50, 000. The mean platelet volume does not matter as long as the counts are sufficiently high.

Platelet count: In an adult, a normal count is about 150, 000 to 450, 000 platelets per microliter of blood.If platelet levels fall below 20, 000 per microliter, spontaneous bleeding may occur and is considered a life-threatening risk. Patients who have a bone marrow disease, such as leukemia or another cancer in the bone marrow, often experience excessive bleeding.

Likely safe: COVID 19 can, in severe cases, cause clot formation or DIC and further drop your platelet counts. This occurs in the mire severe cases.  There is a risk but low depending on the community you live in

Yes: I've had many patients who have this condition and go on to have successful normal pregnancies.  A consultation with a perinatologist would help you understand what possible complications there may be.

: Of course you should clear this with your own doctor, but there should be no problem with getting the Covid vaccine at those platelet counts. Please don't delay! If you were to get ill with Covid, you would need many more injections and needlesticks than the 1 safe one with the vaccine.

my husband has essential thrombocythemia with calr mutation. his hematologist just changed his medication from hydroxurea to baby aspirin since december. his platelet count increased from 380 to 1118 within 6 months. would this be a safe treatment?

: I'd be concerned about undertreatment in view of that high platelet count. Perhaps the hematologist is concerned about long term hydroxyurea causing leukemia. Hydroxyurea plus low dose aspirin is the extent of my experience but there are other treatment options. A consultation at a university hospital department of hematology would be worthwhile.

: Upper limit of normal anywhere between 400-450k depending on lab. Such values cannot be interpreted otherwise out of clinical context and/or dynamics. Talk to ordering doc about it.

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, high platelet count is a often an indication of iron deficiency. It would be prudent to discuss it with the doctor who ordered the test.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.
