A little bit: The 145 is okay but the 92 is slightly high. Try to avoid xs salt, doing a little exercise, and, if you're overweight, shedding a few pounds.  It should correct your few extra points of bp. Be sure you're measuring your BP at complete rest - check it several times and average them for the most accurate reading.

See doctor: Young man as you should not have BP high unless some medical reason. Ideal is BP &lt; 130/80. Watch sodium hidden in many foods! What is your BMI?? Diet? Exercise? Smoker? Energy drinks? Get clean eating habits, drink water.Goal BMI 25 or less. Eat fresh produce, fish, nuts- non salted. Walk 45 -60 min/ day. And see Doc!

Change of BP: Your symptoms sound as if you have orthostatic hypotension (op), which means your BP falls when you stand up. If this is happening often, you need to go to an er and be evaluated. Causes of o could be volume deficit, loss of fluids, or an irregular heart rhythm, among others. Good to an er and get the answer to your question from the physician who examines you. Good luck.

my father age is 69.everytime his blood pressure will be normal he will use the bp tablets also.but sometime if he will more salty food his blood pressure will get immediate high ranging around 146/92.so should i get more worried for this or normal?

: When high blood pressure (hypertension) is diagnosed, it should be treated and patient should take medication(s) daily, not only taking when BP is high &amp; not taking when numbers are normal. Of course, dose can be adjusted up or down based on blood pressure monitoring and symptoms. In general, BP ranges of 120-130/80-85 are reasonable for most ages but goal may vary individually and comorbidity.

i am on betablocker for high bp.i take my bp lying and it is 130/80. when i am sitting or standing the bp go to 135/92. is that normal? txs

Bp 92/78 : This is  the lower side. if you have high blood pressure &amp; are on meds call your doctor &amp;let them know as they may want to adjust your meds., or at least verify if is continuing since BP changes  every minute.  You may also be dehydrated. If you are not on medication may still be dehydrated or may be autonomic  dysfunction ,unless  this has been your blood pressure all your life. f/u/ w/ MD today

Continue Meds: Hopefully you are seeing a doctor during this pregnancy who is carefully monitoring your blood pressure throughout your pregnancy. They will need to monitor fetal growth and make sure no evidence of superimposed preeclampsia occurs. It appears your medication is working well at the moment. Close follow up is warranted

Healthy BP: There is nothing in your account to say that you have hypertension.  A healthy heart has varying blood pressures at any given moment.  Physical activity can lead to increased heart rate and increased fluid dehydration (through sweating) and thus this strain can temporarily elevate the blood pressure.  But that is temporary and during your recovery from exercise and with hydration BP will normalize.
