can it be beneficial to take a drug holiday from adderall ir? if so, how do i go about it safely without crashing? what would the pros/cons be? ive been taking 20 mg 3 times a day for several years. dr approved weekend breaks if i want to.

All pros: No medicine was ever proven to be safe if taken indefinitely. Adderall is amphetamine based used most commonly for treatment of ADHD. Using the minimum amount for the least amount of time is always the goal in the long range. Talk to your prescriber of safe ways of accomplishing your goals.

Wellbutrin (bupropion) &amp; adderal: The 2 meds could interact, as Wellbutrin (bupropion) does have some ability to help with concentration, and it wouldn't necessarily be an additive effect with addeerall. Too much of something can sometimes not work. Please talk to a Psychiatrist before just changing meds on your own. If you have been getting the meds from a regular Physician, please see a Psychiatrist. Any combo psych meds shd be Psychiatrist

on 20mg adderall ir twice a day. take 1st dose at 7:30am. no issues with pulse or bp. quite good actually. avg 120/70 pls 65. 6 hours later i take second dose. pulse still good but bp jumps 20 systolic/10/diastolic. why good with 1st dose but not 2nd?

what the difference between focalin (dexmethylphenidate) ir and adderall ir? which is a better drug for add? i only like to take them mon-fri not weekends my dr likes foca

2 different meds: Focalin is dexmethylphenidate, the isomer of methylphenidate, it is supposed to decrease the side effects.  Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) is amphetamine, a different stimulant than methylphenidate.  Taking it on weekdays is a good idea.
