: Best consult with your PCP. These seeds help reduce inflammation  and autoimmune diseases and cancers. Why not take them.

Take both: Chia seeds have more fiber. This is good but can also cause more bloating and gas which could be bad. Chia seeds are higher in omega 3s. I would alternate the two for the sake of variety !

Yes: Some people do use flax seeds over fish oil.  Each have their value and some actually use all products synergistically.

I wouldn&#x27;t because:: You can have all the flax ; chia you want but i&#x27;d be cautious re: zipfizz- it&#x27;s high in caffeine ; has some hazardous ingredients  such as sucralose (http://bit.Ly/1eavvqa), synthetic vit e ; high doses of Cyanocobalamin which has cyanide! (http://bit.Ly/mm1ce9)-i wouldn&#x27;t take 7500 mcg(in 3 doses zipfizz). Instead try a good b complex with methylcobalamin ; a green drink like orac energy greens.

Flax seeds are good: They contain good fats, i.e., omega 3.  Please use flax seeds that you grind fresh.  Pre-ground can get rancid or loose nutrition.  You can simplify by using good quality marine fish oil.  That way you body skips a step because the fish have made the omega 3 bio-available and your body does not need to do that. Lipids/ cholesterol: Flax seed can help to lower cholesterol & low-density lipoprotein levels & help reduce the risk of heart disease.  Because your body can digest ground flaxseed better than whole flaxseed, the ground flaxseed is preferable.  This will provide more of the benefits from the lignans and the omega – 3 –fatty acids in the flaxseed. With flaxseed oil, it is quite important that it be cold pressed.

Fruits and veggies: Your diet will define the consistency of your stool.  The fruits and veggies along with the chia and flax can alter the stool.  Play detective and start to note which fruits and veggies etc you eat make it one way or the other.
