Q: its been two weeks after tooth extraction and i feel my gums next to the other teeth are scratched up. they are irritated when i eat. what can i do?

See DDS: Go back to the dentist that performed the extraction for a clinical evaluation. Make sure you are not smoking as this will retard healing.

Wisdom tooth: Wisdom teeth, while erupting, may cause sore ear and nerves irritated.  Try to have your wisdom teeth removed and then follow up with the dentist.

See a dentist: If you have a wisdom tooth (18 year molar), under that gum, it may need to be removed as you are 21 years old. If the wisdom tooth has been removed, then you have overgrown gum tissue that can be easily removed by your dentist using a soft tissue dental laser.  See your dentist soon to reduce the chance of infection.

i had a routine dental cleaning and ever since i have an irritated/sensitive gum over one tooth. i go every 3 months for a cleaning and i was told that i am doing an excellent job in cleaning my teeth, so why do i now have this problem?

: If the gum is sensitive, not the tooth, than the gum needs to be brushed, as well as the tooth .Use a soft brush and brush the gums first, than the teeth. Use a gum massager also, which can be obtained at any pharmacy.

NO: salteater rinses: are ideal for most forms of dental issues.Saltwater is not errosive. It will not interfere with brushing or flossing.
