If you are at ideal body weight then you may need to increase your calories/day by 300 which is half of a very small peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  If you are overweight then you should not increase your calories/day and focus on eating unprocessed diet of vegetables and fish.

Sex therapist: This sounds, at least superficially, as if there may be a psychological issue in play.  What is an excessive intake of pregnancy preventives (and why?).  Too many unanswered questions.  Think you both might benefit from chats with a clinical psychologist with a particular interest in sexual malfunctions.  Best wishes.

Tuna in pregancy: I would avoid it,  as tuna, king mackeral and swordfish have high levels of mercury, which can cause defects in fetuses/babies. You can get omega 3 in prenatal vitamins or eating safe fish like salmon( wild not farmed)  sardines 6 oz per week or 2 x per week.

NO: Sperm can only fertilize an egg when introduced into the genital tract (vagina).
Swallowing sperm does not place it in this area.  The sperm are killed by the acidity in the stomach.

You are fine: If your intake fell to a point where it would affect the baby, you would have massive symptoms yourself such as light-headedness, thirst, dry mouth, etc. The system will steal stuff away from your body to give it to the baby first, so if you are low on something, you will deprive your body before the baby. Hmmm?: This is unlikely to be a concern unless you are taking medications that affect iodine metabolism (ie certain anti-arrhythmics).   Salt is also iodized, people that eat a regular diet in america are rarely iodine deficient.   A truly iodine deficient person will have low thyroid hormone and possibly an enlarged thyroid gland as well.

Salt msg: Excessive salt and MSG should be avoided. Eat five servings of fruits and vegetables each day and lean sources of protein, e.g. fish and eggs.
