Talk to Insurer: In all likelihood there should be no problem. It sounds as though the initial surgery was unsuccessful. The insurer should be able to ensure that it gets taken care of as it is medically indicated, but you need to call them.

Out of network?: It is unlikely the anesthesia would not be covered as a service for an indicated surgery but it is possible the anesthesiologist may have been out of network or didn't accept your insurance.

Not necessary: Medical insurance is to provide payment for medically necessary issues. Lasik is sort of a cosmetic surgery, not necessary for health.

Discuss with derm: Us will depend on your coverage provisions and the type of laser or ipl used. Your dermatologist is your best reference as they will likely have experience with third party payor's policies.

Money: Insurance companies are in business to make money for the insurance company. To do this they have contracts that dictate what they will and will not cover. When deciding what to cover they look to eliminate as many minor procedures as possible as the least number of people will object to this.  Adult Fluoride treatments are relatively inexpensive so very few people object to it not being covered.

Medicare part d: Good luck - appropriate coverage is becoming a thing of the past. Keep in mind that there is going to be a further $500mil dollar reduction in medicare funding.

We don't address billing/insurance/ referral or clinic locations or other such information that varies throughout the country &amp; around the world where this site is seen. If your insurance pays for chiropractic visits they would be who I ask.

my reputable dental insurance provided a list of many local professionals who identify as periodontists but are not american academy of periodontology members.  should i pay more (out of pocket) for aap members?  or can i trust my insurance company?

Trust?: Insurance companies have little or no interest in finding you the best dental specialists. They check on basic credentials generally. I would combine both your own independent  search of highly competent and respected specialists in your area and hopefully at least one will accept your insurance.

i am on bydureon (exenatide) injections for my diabetes my insurance company notified me that they will not be paying for this drug in 2016 they recommend a replacement drug called trulicity, will this drug work as well as the bydoreon  for me thank you?

Yes: There has been recent formulary changes. Trulicity should work equally well as the Bydureon (exenatide).
