None: Bed bugs are not known to spread disease. Bed bugs can be an annoyance because their presence may cause itching and loss of sleep. Sometimes the itching can lead to excessive scratching that can sometimes increase the chance of a secondary skin infection. No specific treatment, just avoid scratching the area and apply antiseptic creams or lotions and take an antihistamine.

Depends: Tick bites can carry diseases like rocky mountain spotted fever, lyme disease, & ehrlichiosis. Mosquito bites in many areas of the world can carry malaria, yellow fever, & a host of other diseases. Any insect bite can become secondarily infected with strep, staph, mrsa. If the bite area is swelling, getting redder, draining pus, hurting more, see a doc as soon as possible for evaluation & tx.

Test: Get tested for Covid and self quarantine till you know results. May be flu as well. Get plenty of rest and liquids and get help if you cannot keep liquids down. Symptomatic treatment but if positive for Covid would wok with physician and do not delay getting help if things get worse. The earlier the treatment the better.

i've had a recent string of infections, 4 uti's in a 6 month period. strep throat in addition to two, week long, stomach bugs. is this all related?

See below: The uti's might be related. Recurrent uti's in young women can occur after intercourse and if frequent require a dose of antibiotic after each contact. Other causes of recurrent uti's include incomplete emptying of the bladder, reflux of urine up the ureters with voiding and urinary stones. Get checked out by a urologist or infectious disease specialist.

in the 9 months since my son was born he has had a gi bug,  3 viral infections, 3 ear infections and we are now battling thrush. is he seriously ill?

Needs to see...: a hematologist or infectious disease doctor. That's too many infections in 9 months. He could have an immune deficiency problem. I would get it checked out further if it was my child. Hope he gets well soon.

i travelled to hong kong and indonesia early january and since i came back i have frequent respiratory infections, upper back pain radiating to my right arm. recently i have been having stomach bug/ pain for the past 2 weeks. please help.

One should first take Aleve or Ibuprofen for the aches and pains and possible Fever, Stop cold and iced drinks/ foods/ice cream, Gargle wit Salt water or Vinegar &amp; Water after meals &amp; at bedtime, See the Doctor for Antibiotics like Tetracycline or Doxycycline, and get Respiratory inhalers like Ventolin or ProAir for difficulty breathing

This is determined by capturing the germ and growing it in the lab, then we can find out it's strengths and weaknesses. There are Gram positive and Gram negative coccobacilli- so hopefully you could get more info.
