Inflamation: Ileitis means inflammation of the ileum. All those other descriptions are describing red inflamed colon. I advise you to discuss with your gastroenterologist the  diagnosis and treatment plan including medicine to heal the area.

IBS biopsy: In large part the reason irritible bowel syndrome is called a syndrome rather than a disease is because there are not consistent (or usually any) findings on biopsy of the bowel. Unwary or inexperienced pathologists may note "non-specific" inflammation, but these are most often within the spectrum of normal morphology.

Crohn's: Crohn's is still not off the list, a Prometheus is not a definitive , be all end all test. Rarely does the biopsy come back saying this is absolutely Crohn's. You need to input of a good GI doc.There are other test such as a fecal calprotectin .

Maybe: Colonoscopy can only see the activities and masses that are visible through the lining of the colon. Laparoscopy may be the way to look at the appendix and see if it is inflamed, scarred or has a tumour on it...

: Equivocal study. Due to incomplete prep and lack of visualization of significant portions of the bowel your study was non diagnostic. Irritable bowel remains in the differential diagnosis as inflammatory bowel with no enough evidence or information to support diagnosis. Follow up with your gastroenterologist will be critical in order to have diagnosis and possibly treatment clarified.
