flu test few days ago with swab inside my nose. nose still feels sensitive. could that swab cause an infection in my nose or am i worrying too much?

Possible: Probably just sill irritated, however a safe thing to do would be to get a bacitracin or polysporin cream and place in the nostril 2 or 3 times per day. The ointment will protect the area and help the irritation to heal if you do have an infection it would be the best first thing to do! Hope that helps!

E coli in nose: E coli is a colon bacterium.  It can cause infection in any body space or tissue.  To get into the nose, it has to arrive by a finger or by nose rubbing a coliform carrying site.....I suppose a dirty towel could carry E coli into the nostril if rubbed just right.  But infection in the nose by this creature is very rare.

Sinus inf & smell: Sinus infections can definitely alter your sense of smell. First of all, with the thickening of the mucous membranes and the presence of extra thick mucous, your smell receptors in the nose don't work as well; and (2) if bacteria are present along with purulent drainage, the germs in this carry their own rather unpleasant odor. Sinus infections can also be a cause of bad breath.

Not from tap water: The so-called brain eating amoebae are a problem if one gets into a pond or lake that has the organisms in it. There are no known cases of infection from tap water in the US.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

Flu testing : When handled properly by a medical professional, the swab is taken from a sterile package, inserted to a specific depth, swirled, removed, and placed in a culture tube. When the flu test is performed this way, it should not cause infection. 
Of course, if someone drops the swab on the floor first, it could pick up germs which might then cause infection.

Cellulitis : Cellulitis of face is often staph or strep. They should respond to antibiotics, although with some difficulty.  Sometimes staph can be carried in the nostrils and is treated with topical bactroban (mupirocin) to lessen this.  
Your description of using multiple antibiotics for months, a coated white tongue and painful swallowing seems to suggest the possibility of have a yeast infection in your mouth and esophagus.  This is common in situations like yours.  You might benefit from reevaluation from your physician for this possibility or referral to a gastroenterologist.  This condition is treatable with oral antifungal medication and should resolve in a short time.  Best wishes.

Bloody nose: The blood is due to the erosion of small blood vessels in your nose because if the mucus. It may be dry in your house so using a humidifer or vaporizer can be helpful. Also purchase saline gel and moisturize your nostrils with the gel several times a day
