No not really.: Exsercise and good poster are important but these measures will not correct your indented sternum (or pectus excavatum or funnel chest). The chest wall deformity is due to an abnormal growth pattern of the ribs and sternum. Depending on the severity and associated symptoms (shortness of breat, pain) there are surgical remedies for the condition (ravitch procedure, nuss procedure).

No: Generally it is a developmemntal deformity in the chest wall called as pectus.Small deformities can be left alone but deep caving of the sternal area inwards may compromise the space for heart to function. These needs to be corrected surgically.

Sorry but no: Your sternum is where your chest muscles (pectorals) attach but there's no muscle there per se to increase w/exercise. If the appearance really bothers you, talk to a thoracic surgeon but unless it's causing you medical problems, it's unlikely s/he will recommend any surgery, and even less likely that insurance will cover this cosmetic procedure.Try to focus on all your other accomplishments!

Pectus excavatum: There are various degrees of pectus excavatum,  if there is a mild deformity and you are done growing it will likely remain mild and have no consequences.

Pectus excavatum: Is the name for it. It describes an indented chest wall deformity.  If severe it may jeopardize ones heart function.

i've had an indent in my chest all therw life.in the center i used to have a small black dot the size of a pincel led. over time its  now the size of a pincil eraser. wat could tha be?

Get the mole checked: It sounds like you are describing a mole. Any mole that changes size should be evaluated. See your doctor and have them take a look at it or see a dermatologist.
