NOt possible: to answer this question as you do not specify a diagnosis.  
In general, grade 4 of a cancer is not good, but there are always survivors that are unexpected, and of course there may be miracles.  Good luck to you and your partner.

See your doctor: If you are having an persistent odor, you may want to be seen by your doctor. Odor can often signal a problem or often, an infection. Depending on your symptoms and history, your doctor can determine the source and possibly offer treatment.

No: Hypothyroid is very curable.  As long as you take the right amount of thyroid hormone replacement, you should not be hypothyroid anymore.

Stage 4 cancer: Most stage 4 cancers are not curable. Stage 4 (or metastatic cancer) is when cancer has travelled to a distant place in the body. There are a few exceptions: many stage 4 testicular cancer or lymphoma may be curable. For stage 4 melanoma, a small percentage of patients may be cured with immunotherapy such as interleukin-2 or ipilimumab.

Incurable: There are many incurable conditions but most are not common. Please let me know why you are asking that question and I will try and give you some advice.

In those families with incurable genetic diseases there is always concern and that is hard to control. That said, one of my nephews was in that position some years ago but survived. He is now well and the proud father of five kids.

Difficult problem: An incurable detachment means the retina is lifted off from its nutrient bed and will fairly rapidly lose all function.   The longer off, the less function is left until all is lost.  At this point there is not therapy;  treatment in this case is designed to make the eye comfortable and  to treat things which will make the eye unsightly.  There is currently no technology which will help.

No: Ringworm is an infection caused by fungus or yeast. It can be treated with a topical antifungal. In some resistant cases not responding to topicals it may be necessary to treat with an oral antifungal. But usually this is a curable condition. It is contagious and spread by contact with infected persons or animals.

why is it exactly that nevus depigmentosus is incurable? theoretically what would have to happen for it to be cured? thanks!

Cut it out: The skin affected by this defect is what it is. It will not change.If it is small you could have a dermatologist or plastic surgeon cut it out, but it would leave a scar.If it covers a significant area that would be difficult. There are a variety of cover up strategies you can try or you can just live with it.

Usually not: There are rare cases of retractable peptic ulcer disease requiring surgery, but most are curable with ppi, avoidance of nsaids and treatment of hpylori if present.

i have athlete's foot. is this incurable?

Accepted Answer

No: Athletes foot (or tinea pedis) is almost always curabale. The problem is recurrence. Fungi like dark, moist areas especially where they can imbed and adhere i.e. Sports shoes. Besides using the otc sprays and creams, try to rotate athletic shoes so they dry out fully between use and spray the inside of the shoes if you have athlete's foot. Always wear socks of some sort. Clean and dry is the key.
