A member asked:

Which sort of therapies and technology are used for people with incurable retinal detatchment?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Difficult problem: An incurable detachment means the retina is lifted off from its nutrient bed and will fairly rapidly lose all function. The longer off, the less function is left until all is lost. At this point there is not therapy; treatment in this case is designed to make the eye comfortable and to treat things which will make the eye unsightly. There is currently no technology which will help. .
